squirrel Mail to palm?

Hello all. Im trying to setup my school email to sync with my treo 650. The email that we have is Squirrel Mail and I cannot sight out what to put for Incoming/Outgoing Mail Server. The address that we use at school looks like this if it helps... (username)@cs nmsu edu. Not too much help for squirrel mail accounts so im wondering if its even possible. any ideas?
I was trying to do some searching on the internet and it seems squirrelmail is web-based only. You may want to check with your school's IT department to see if they can furnish you the incoming and outgoing server settings. Its usually going to be something like
pop something com or imap something com for incoming and smtp something com for outgoing.
